New MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 China Version (Fake/bootleg kit NOT!!)

Hey folks, Hyperion7 here, please pardon me for being late on this particular news update ^.^'' ; here is the new gundam model kit from China...(nope, you are not looking at another bootleg kit here...c'mon let me finish my sentence...) This 1 is officially manufactured by Bandai China (Guangzhou); yes it is genuine Bandai product, as we have discussed earlier in our previous blog post.

So here it is, let's check out the box art and some of the close-up picture of the actual model kit:

MG 1/100 RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 China Special (Limited Edition)

Unit Price: 430 Chinese Yuan (~MYR 270)

The box art itself is pretty cool and beautifully designed, those dragon graphics on the gundam truly represents it as the Chinese version of RX-78-2 Gundam.

(Is it only me or some of you guys feel that the model kit on the box art looks more like the MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver. OYW rather than the regular Ver.2.0 , given those identical linings all around its body and shield as it used to be?)

Well, the actual model kit as seen in the picture above, it is the MG Ver.2.0 model kit, in fact it is wholely based on the original MG RX-78-2 Gundam Ver.2.0 model kit platform , with the additional dragon graphic markings all over its body for this particular version.

The side part of the box showcases some of the pictures of the model kit taken from the regular Ver.2.0 box art, minus the Mobile Suit Gundam UC image (seen here written in the Chinese terms of 'Mobile Suit Gundam') , nothing much worth bragging about.

I'd say that this China Ver. does have its own specialty in terms of the overall model kit design, given the fact that those dragon graphics does add in some interesting looks onto the otherwise plain looking RX-78-2 Gundam.

Feeling like getting 1 for yourself? Wait no more as this is a limited edition item, grab it fast :D

Next RG Gundam coming soon!!!

Wow, seems like today many of us are all but super excited and super-actively debating about the what's gonna be next RG 1/144 Gundam model, which is the 10th unit in the current Bandai RG lineup; perhaps our dear Mr. B (Bandai) is cooking up something to surprise us I guess, hopefully; after all, it is the 10th, yup, 10th unit, a number worth celebrating, haha.

According to official news, the news on the next RG kit will be revealed in the coming August 2012 in Japan with several specified locations marked for the news revelations:

- Gundam Tokyo Front ( 9th August 2012 )
- Osaka Sation - East Exit ( 15th - 21st August 2012 )
- Chara Hobby ( 25th - 26th August 2012 )

Anyway, let's check out the sneak peak picture below:

As you can see, the bigger picture on the top part features the official logo of RG and below the logo shows that there is the front head camera sensor of a typical gundam and its right eye is seen here in the picture as well. It says there 'For New Evolution' ; I wonder what meaning does this phrase carries for the next RG Gundam, perhaps something new from the previous RG Gundams, or something which Mr. B is holding up so long just to surprise us soon...

Hmmm, what's your opinions on this? What do you think the next RG Gundam will be?

** To be Continued in August 2012 **

Please stay tuned with us on this yo!! :D
