best to keep up with our blog activities again :)

Alright, let’s put the chatter aside and get into the main topic. This week’s gundam

model kit’s review goes to…..

MASTER GRADE 1/100 MOBILE FIGHTER GF13-017NJII GOD GUNDAM!!!

YES!! This time is a Master Grade kit review!! Also the 1st Master Grade kit review

for our blog!! BEHOLD THE POWER OF GOD!!

I guess we don’t really have to say much about this particular gundam, as it is one
of the most famous gundam out there in the entire gundam history, be it the
gundam itself or its model kits; this gundam has fame and power that many others
can always talk about.

Named as God Gundam, or G Gundam in short, also named Burning Gundam in
English. This gundam is easily one of the most powerful and formidable gundam in
the entire gundam universe. It has the power to easily overwhelm other gundams
should they ever start a fight, as its name suggests, it has the power as powerful
as a god can be!!

Piloted by the hot headed, yet strong will and determined Domon Kasshu, this
gundam uses the pilot’s body gestures and movements to enable all the possible
body actions of the gundam itself, to be simple, the gundam simply follows the
pilot’s body movement when they fight. Combining the impressive martial arts skills
of Domon and the power of the gundam itself as one, God Gundam is able to fight
his enemies at great will. With the power to turn into Hyper Mode, which boost the
power of the gundam greatly, God Gundam is able to unleash some of its famous
and devastating attacks such as the God Slash, God Finger and Sekiha Tenkyoken.

The kit does not comes with many weapons as the gundam only uses his beam
sabres as its God Slash attacks, else it relies mostly on hand to hand martial arts
combat skills, it does include its signature God Fingers hand parts which can be
changed into its hands for the kit to depict its famous signature God Fingers and
Sekiha Tenkyoken attacks.

Priced at 2500 Yen, this kit can be considered as one of the most affordable MG
gundam kits you can find in the current market even though it is quite old already.
As a huge fan of God Gundam myself, this kit is more than just a great bargain,
considering the decent details made on the kits design as a proper MG kit, the
collection value that it holds greatly surpass any monetary value that comes with.

As powerful as its name can suggest, this kit does still its own weakness and
problems, afterall. Even though the kit’s detail is creditable, many who havee this
kit will agree that the kit’s articulations are quite stiff even if it uses the Fighting
Action frame, much is due to the application of tiny screws needed in many parts
of the kit’s body including its hands, legs, torso and several other parts. Honestly I
didn’t enjoyed the process of inserting those screws into the body sections, it was
troublesome and I almost lost several of them at certain times during the building
process. The worse thing associated with these screws was that the holes that
were supposed to hold the screws in place, they were not wide enough initially, I
have to use the small screw driver to re-widen the holes in order for the screws to
fit in properly. It was a tiring process, but fortunately things went through just fine
after that and the body pieces holds up firmly enough.

Nevertheless, the kit can still pull out many great poses thanks to its action frame.
One thing that you need to watch out is that you should not install the screws too
tight into the body parts, or else you gonna end up tightening up them further.
One thing I find these screws good despite the trouble they gave me, is that they
do help holding the body parts in place for a very long time as you play along with
this kit after some time it might loosen up the joints if without the screws in place.

Talking about the kit’s articulations, despite the problematic screws I had to put up
with, this kit actually does have impressive articulations, considering its age. This
kit is 1 of the many gundams in the earlier times that has the implementations of
double joint system which allows it to strike many dynamic action poses which can
still rivals many modern MG kits today.

GOD FINGERRRRRRRRRR!!!

This MG God Gundam has been around for quite some time, it is definitely showing some age should it be compared with it’s younger junior counterparts of modern
days; but still, this kit has been retaining its own value since its initial release into
the mainstream market. Nevertheless, this kit still stands proud as a formidable
Master Grade kit; proven to be of great value, Bandai also released its modern
1/144 HGAW version of this kit back in 2010.

Sekihaaa Tennn-kyo-kennnnnnn!!!

Last but not least, please allow me to reiterate that this MG God Gundam is just
another wonderful kit to be added to your gunpla collections. It is afforable, simple
yet powerful looking, and does not take up much of your room spaces as it does
not have many weapons/accessories. Putting most of its weak points in the kit
aside and don’t mind about the screws, you still get a great kit that is worth the
most noticeable sections of your collection space.

 Pros:
- Afforable, great money value.
- Legendary character, retains high collection value.
- Great body parts design proportions and accurate color molding.
- Lots of great posability.
- Simple kit with simple accessories.

Cons:
- Annoying screws.
- Somehow stiff joints.
- Non-articulate hand parts.
- Certain posability restrictions.

Final rating for this kit: 4/5

Alright folks, this concludes the review for this kit. I have made it simpler this time
so if you feel that I have missed out any important information just feel free to let
me know, will try to make them better in the future reviews. :)

Well that’s all for now, we’ll be back with more interesting news information about
gundams and gunplas; wish you all have great days ahead, bye for now :D
